Group running TV ads attacking Russ Feingold with no disclosure

A shadow group with ties to Senator Ron Johnson and Governor Scott Walker continues to flood Wisconsin with attack ads one year out from Election Day while taking every possible step to obscure where their money comes from.

The Wisconsin Alliance for Reform has refused to disclose where a penny of their money comes from even as they run attacks against Russ Feingold.

In response to the organization's attack ad, Martha Laning, Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, released the following statement:

"Front-groups like the Wisconsin Alliance for Reform want to buy Wisconsin's elections for the millionaires, billionaires and big corporations who want to profit on the back of Wisconsin middle class families. This group has refused to disclose the source of it's funding while supporting Senator Johnson and his out-of-touch agenda. Senator Ron Johnson should sign the Badger Pledge to allow Wisconsinites, not shadow front groups, to decide our elections."

The Wisconsin Alliance for Reform was incorporated in April for the purpose of using limitless amounts of dark money to attack Russ Feingold and Wisconsin Democrats. The organization has never disclosed where any of their funding comes from.
