Today State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) stated that he was humbled to hear that Mothers Against Drunk Driving had honored him with their 2015 Legislator of the Year Award.
In a letter notifying Senator Carpenter of the award, MADD National President Coleen Sheehey-Church thanked Tim for his “unwavering and tireless efforts” to help fight against drunk driving.
“Too many of our friends and family have been touched by the tragedy resulting from drunk driving, and it is well past time to start taking the issue of drunken driving seriously,” said Carpenter.
“I am humbled by this recognition, and I will continue to work to toughen up our laws and enact commonsense reform to crack down on drunk driving,” said Carpenter.
