LR the Liberal Redneck here, coming to you from a country that really needs to read its’ own Constitution. That holds especially true for our elected officials in Washington D.C. and even more so regarding the second amendment:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Ammosexuals, led by the NRA, totally disregard the first part of the second amendment and concentrate only on the “right of the people to keep and bear arms.” That is a slap in the face to our Founding Fathers. In 1791 when the second amendment was ratified by the states, our country had no standing army. The defense of our new nation was totally in the hands of our citizen militia. They needed to be armed to protect the vulnerable nation from invasion by a foreign power.

Today we have the most powerful group of armed services in the world. We have no need for a “well regulated militia.” It is past time to curtail drastically the “right of the people to keep and bear arms.” It has created an environment that is dangerous and deadly by making it easier to buy guns than it is to get a drivers license.

Attack rifles have only one purpose. To kill large numbers of people. They need to be totally eliminated forever. Only federally authorized dealers should be allowed to sell guns with a mandatory background check and a 30 day waiting period.

Ammunition should be sold at a completely different location and only in limited quantities. Violators should be given mandatory prison sentences with no exceptions.

The out of control gun culture has made it unsafe to even go to church without fear of being shot. That is intolerable. In 2015 alone there were 372 mass shootings in our nation and the one common denominator is the gun.

We have the power to change this abomination, but power is useless if you do not use it. Vote. Vote like your life depends on it, because it very well could. Democrats believe in gun control. Republicans do not. The choice is simple.
