Democratic Training for Elections and Action in Milwaukee

Our goal is to build a larger, stronger Democratic community. To be successful in winning elections and moving progressive issues forward, we need to have a well-trained, well connected network of activists, staff, and candidates.

Whether you are looking at running or working on a campaign or preparing for a legislative race in the future, DemTEAM is a great opportunity to develop your skills and network with other progressives.

The DemTEAM training helps to build a stronger, more strategic community of Democrats in Milwaukee County to run campaigns, plan events, recruit new members, run for office, and advance Democratic values and causes.

Past participate testimonials

"I’ve always been deeply invested in local politics and didn’t know how to break through. DemTeam opened up so many opportunities to expand my network. Shortly after, I was able to successfully manage my first campaign and double the number of Black women on Milwaukee's Common Council." - Arkesia Jackson, Vice Chair of the Milwaukee County Democratic Party

"I participated in DemTeam not to run for office, but network with people whose campaign I wanted volunteer for. I met over 20 people I thought would make great candidates. In the end I helped three people in small ways, introductions, setting up a data base, office space for meeting, etc. and did major volunteering with one for whom I ran canvassing and data management." - Eilene Stevens, Campaign Volunteer

"DemTEAM provided great insight and helped me tremendously in learning how to lay the groundwork to not only run for office but also how to communicate with voters and win elections." - Chevy Johnson, Milwaukee Alderman District 2
