Dear Milwaukee Democrats,

Milwaukee County has the highest population of any county in Wisconsin. When Democrats win statewide elections, it's because Democrats come out to vote in Milwaukee County. That success is due to a strong local party and countless advocates who work tirelessly to elect Democrats up and down the ticket.

In the coming years, we will focus on building the strongest party in the state with the infrastructure needed to establish and maintain winning coalitions. To do this, we need to continue to expand our outreach, attract new talent and ideas, generate a strong digital presence, and utilize the skills and spirit of anyone who walks through the Democratic door.

We have members from every corner of Milwaukee County, from Oak Creek to Brown Deer. We have members who are in college and ready to expand their horizons, and members who have led distinguished careers and now want to lend their experience to help us grow. We have members of every race, religion, education, and economic background, and alliances with organizations who represent them all.

We have several active committees and caucuses that meet regularly to share mutual interests and discuss the issues that impact us the most.  I encourage you to visit milwaukeedems.org/committee to contact the chair of the committee you might be interested in getting involved in.  

Recently we launched our new Democratic Ambassador Program. We’re creating one-on-one relationships, neighbor-to-neighbor to ensure local voters know about upcoming elections, candidates and issues. And it isn’t a one-way communications tool. It also allows us to hear directly from the community as to the issues they care about most.

In just a few short weeks, we will train tomorrow's leaders at our 7th DemTEAM. DemTEAM is a two-day training seminar where elected officials, activists, volunteers, and professionals demonstrate winning campaign techniques and methods to the dozens in attendance each year. Graduates of DemTEAM have gone on to become elected officials, leaders in the non-profit and political worlds, and have made progress in the fight for the issues most important to them.

We continue to grow and we need your skills and talents to make the strongest gains we've ever made. We have ambitious plans, but we need your help to make them happen. We're going to set the standard for what a county party can be in the state of Wisconsin, and we need you to be a part of it.

No matter what, there's a place for you in our party and there's a way that you can help us grow. Whatever your skill might be, we have a way for you to use it.

We are the strongest county party in the state, and in the years ahead we are going to reach levels of success that we've only imagined until now.
