Marlene Ott has been politically active most of her life, working on various campaigns and issues, especially through her unions: WEAC and NEA. She served two terms as chair of the National Education Association Democratic Caucus. Marlene was proud to be elected as a delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver which nominated Barack Obama and Joe Biden for President and Vice President. Before being elected Vice Chair, she served a term as Recording Secretary of the DPMC. Each year she leads the Party’s presence at the Wisconsin State Fair.
“My goal for the DPMC for the next two years is to rebuild not only our number of members but also to re-energize our loyal veterans who have stood strong throughout the past. We need to raise enough money and increase our membership in order to be a major player in the critically important 2014 elections. With a strong leadership team and the continued efforts of our members, I believe that we can repeat our 2012 election successes.”
